Introduction:
I have always believed that saving a friend from addiction and guiding them towards rehabilitation is not only a personal salvation but also brings joy to the entire family. Furthermore, it serves as a beacon of light amidst darkness for society.
For over two decades, my wife and I have been dedicated to the ministry of rehabilitation and care, having been commissioned by the church. The sharing of grace has grown exponentially, and our giving has multiplied. At times, I find myself pondering, "Lord, why have you placed these individuals before me, and why have you entrusted me with this knowledge?"
Engaging in the field of drug rehabilitation has brought me into close contact with individuals facing financial struggles and even destitution. Many of them share similar backgrounds, family histories, and life experiences, evoking empathy. Observing some ambitious students and young individuals among them has intensified my desire to contribute even more.
During my tenure as Director at the Dawn Training Center, I noted that several students resorted to "installment payments" to cover their tuition fees. Among them were those burdened with credit card debt, needing to send money back home, or requiring medical attention. The theological students at the Dawn Training Center receive a relatively modest stipend each month (approximately 10,000 Taiwanese dollars). After deducting tithes and meals and accommodations expenses, facing additional debts or expenses often posed significant challenges and tests. A few students inevitably became anxious and contemplated leaving school to seek employment.
However, the magnitude of the need for Gospel-centered rehabilitation and the difficulty in cultivating workers for this cause cannot be understated. The transformation and growth experienced by these individuals who have overcome their pasts are evident to all. Hence, both the school and we have prayed fervently that they continue their studies and engage in the field of drug rehabilitation. Thus, I pray for support to fulfill this need. I have been fortunate to establish connections with the AIT Mission through which God has provided considerable support for the school and its students.
Since assuming a position at the Taipei Christian Lanya Church, my capacity to contribute has become more limited. Nonetheless, I am thankful that God provides more for us to share, and when resources are limited, we share to the best of our ability. Grace is always sufficient to aid those in need.Thank God! Sometimes, a small gesture can deeply touch a repentant student, making every effort worthwhile.

使命 Mission:
The Rehabilitation and Care Ministry is committed to offering care, companionship, and financial support to friends who are undergoing addiction recovery and rehabilitation. Our goal is to guide them onto the path of righteousness, encouraging them to engage in lawful employment, cultivate healthy friendships, and lead normal lives. If it is God's will, we fervently hope for their complete physical, mental, and spiritual restoration, enabling them to reintegrate into society or serve in the field of rehabilitation.

Current Initiatives:
- Assisting in the care and visitation of theological students or ministers supported and nurtured by AIT Mission in Taiwan.
- Regularly sharing insights in various drug rehabilitation centers, providing care and encouragement to motivated students.
- Voluntarily teaching and offering individual counseling to theological students at the Dawn Training Academy and vocational training centers.
- Serving as a volunteer teacher at Yilan Prison (twice a week) and participating in group evangelism and service within various correctional facilities.
- Providing economic assistance to financially strained rehabilitation students, depositing monthly stipends of 1000-2000 Taiwanese dollars through village administrators or life counselors, spanning six months.
- Offering consistent financial support for selected Dawn Training Academy or vocational training theological students to cover their semester tuition fees.
- Privately showing concern and offering financial aid to "urgent" or "special needs" theological students, addiction recovery participants, or incarcerated individuals. (For example, recently, we accompanied a theological student through a severe car accident and supported those undergoing surgery or grappling with serious illnesses.)
成果 Achievements:
Many of the inmates we have cared for express a willingness to transition to the Dawn Training Center or rehabilitation fellowship upon release. Numerous individuals we have supported within the Dawn Training Center's drug rehabilitation community have successfully secured employment or gained admission to the center's training institute or other theological institutions. Moreover, I am deeply grateful for the privilege of witnessing a multitude of my former students walk down the aisle in recent years. The Dawn Training Academy stipulates that theological students can marry only after graduation. Although the commitments involved have been strenuous, seeing these individuals start families brings profound contentment. It was particularly moving to witness the prodigal children express gratitude during the "Thanksgiving" ceremony – their heartfelt emotions never fail to bring tears to my eyes. It is truly an honor to accompany these individuals on their transformative journeys and witness their growth. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Lord for allowing us to labor together in such a meaningful endeavor, embodying the principle of serving "the least of these, my brothers."
