Belovdsk Christian School

Belovdsk Christian School – This school has been in existence for 15 years and it is situated west of Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan in a town of with a population of around 50,000 people. In year 2001, Elder C.S. Yang and with other missionaries took over this school and made it a Christian school and has been operating ever since. It is very well run in spite of limited funding and her small size. For the past years, due to her location, it has been difficult to draw students to increase the school size due to her location with limited busing. However God has been blessing this school with great leadership that provides excellent environment for both the growth of teachers and students. It has proven to be one of our best schools with great academic and character building achievement. We also have a dream that this school can serve as a teacher training center for our IUCA (International University of Central Asia) in the future, offering internship to university students with major in Education.

A. Urgent Need: A larger outdoor toilet facility for the school of 230 students from 1 – 11 grades and, 20 + teachers and staff. Currently, we only have one indoor sit-down toilet for guest to use and with a very small out house for the whole school. During recess time, students and staff need to line up for a long time to use the facility (3 holes for male and 3 for female without any privacy). We need to at least double in size and provide the needed privacy.

B. Request for a Gym/Multipurpose Building

At this school, the largest room we have can only accommodate up to 100 people, and that is inadequate for any big event that requires the presence of the whole school which is a minimum of 250 people. However, in many occasions, if we were to invite parents and outside guests e.g. government officials & other school staff from public and private schools, we would need a capacity for around 300 people. It is also required by the government that schools like our should have some sort of gym facilities. Therefore, we like to build a multipurpose room that can satisfy these requirements.

The estimated cost of such a building is around $100,000.
