Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and hath not another to lift him up. (Ecc 4:9-10)
Have you ever thought about your life? What is the purpose of life? What is the meaning of life? How about the afterlife? Most Christians know these answers.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. ---- Matthew 28:19~20 This is the ultimatum from Jesus to his disciples 2000 years ago. Thousands and thousands faithful Christians are following Jesus’ ultimatum to save as many souls as they could for the past two millenniums. Countless Christians even sacrificed their worldly goods, families and lives to save the people they didn’t know. At the present time, there are a numerous missionaries and small churches craving to continue this work; however, they could not achieve their goals, sometimes failing because of leaked information, miscommunication, inadequate coordination, ineffective training, etc. Most small churches have limited manpower to plan and implement the short-term mission trip. The church members already spend their time with administrative tasks, Sunday school programs, and other related duties. These church members have regular job responsibilities while dedicating significant portion of their time for church. Due to the necessities of their employment or careers, those who are willing to volunteer their services to plan missions have time constraints which limit effectiveness. Mission organizations generally have sufficient funding and expertise in planning for mission trips. These organizations have mission experience and skills, however, they are in need of more Christians to join their mission trips to help them further the groups’ work. These organized missionary groups need a continuous supply of friendship and financial support in the mission field to provide ongoing visits, supplement their store of supplies and offer needed spiritual encouragement. A situation like this is dismal. Over the years, this has resonated in my heart: ″Why don’t I link their needs together? Why don’t I connect them and have them help one another? ″ I believe I have a burden to find a solution to these problems. I have faith that this was a calling from Jesus. This project has been in its planning stage for 3 years but have not had , however, I don’t have the opportunity to start this endeavor until this year with the assistance of professor Tom Miller in at Concordia University. I have been an evangelical Christian since my baptism, I engaged in cross cultural missionary work for over 5 years. During these past 5 years, I have learned how to work with different people, use different methods to spread the gospel, and developed techniques to preach to people. I believe that I can improve the mission with God’s help in combination with my Mission/I.T./MBA background. My project is to establish an project to follow Jesus’ edict by partnering with other established mission organizations. This project will offer the participating churches information about mission events and related training sessions. This organization will function both as a travel agency and also as a specialized mission traveling service. This project is called mission2gather. Mission2gather offers great opportunities and benefits to the small churches, mission organizations and missionaries. Small churches no longer have to plan mission trips by themselves. All they need to do is reach us by logging onto aitmission.org or contact us for mission trip information, choose the appropriate mission trip, and we will do the rest for them. Mission organizations limited time and financial resources for marketing and promotion to publicize their mission trip and attract missionaries. AIT Mission pledges that the missionaries in the field will not be forgotten, rather what they need to do is go to aitmission.org or contact us to update their status and their needs and we will do the rest for them. Web communication has become the primaryinteraction and coordination tool for daily life. We at AIT Mission are taking advantage of this method to ensure each mission will be managed efficiently and successfully. We will make certain every short term mission tripmeets its goals by providing missionaries with proper preparation, training and communication skills. We cooperate with churches and mission organizations by providing mission assistance, mission coordination of the lowest possible expenses available and mission training.
